Wisconsin

Here are some pictures from our trip to Wisconsin this last week. We had a great time relaxing with family and camping for the Family Reunion. Roxy got a nasty case of diaper rash and had a couple of plane ride tantrums, but other than that she did great. And she definitely got spoiled.

This was a really cool hike we went on where you actually walk through the water for part of it. It was beautiful!

OUCH!!

Last week, Roxy was running to get in the car, tripped and smacked her head right on the bottom part you put your foot on. This huge goose egg formed in about 10 seconds. The pictures don't even do it justice. So we went and got slurpees and she was all smiles after that. Kinda scary though.

IT'S A . . .

The majority of the voters were right. IT'S A GIRL!! How did you know? I for one thought for sure it was going to be a boy. Maybe that's just because I may have secretly preferred a boy. But now that I know it's a girl, I'm excited for her. As long as I eventually get a boy I'll be happy. (I'll keep my fingers crossed). Plus, now Roxy will have a sister she can play with, share a room with and become close to. (idealy) And when I have all my kids running around, I'll have the two oldest girls to be responsible and take care of them for me. (idealy) Too bad I was only trying to think of boy names so far, so back to the drawing board. Oh, and as for the pencil test that all of you girls swear by. . . it has totally been proven wrong by me! My pencil test said girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl. That's right, 7. Now I was only planning on 5 or 6, so I thought I would for sure have twins or triplets on my last pregnancy just for the pencil test to be right, but now that it's already been proven wrong, no worries. Anyway, we are super excited for our second little girl! And we know she'll be just as cute as the first!

30

Matt turned 30 on Saturday! After buying a tree, yes that's what he wanted for his birthday, we went to a Bee's game with some friends. It was super fun and he even got his name up on the jumbo-tron.
Thanks for the free tickets Ben!

Adam's Canyon

We went hiking this weekend up Adam's Canyon to a supposed waterfall that we never got to 'cause Roxy was a terror! J/K, Roxy did awesome and the reason we never made it to the waterfall was because Matt and I were both suckin' wind bad! I guess it's time for more exercise. But even without the waterfall, it was beautiful and a lot of fun. Hopefully next time we'll make it.

Nelson Memories

So if you saw the house that burned down in Sandy on the news last week... that was my Grandparents old house. Even though it's not their home anymore, they built that house and lived in it for many many many years. When I lived at home growing up, we and all the aunts and uncles and cousins would meet there every Sunday night and have homemade ice cream. There are so many memories I have in that house and it was so sad to see it burn down.

I'd just like to take a second to remeniss with all the Nelson side of my family of some of my memories.
- Homemade Icecream
- playing capture the flag, ghost in the graveyard, kick the can, basketball
- playing nertz, and murder in the dark
- Picking rassberries, apricots, and cherries
- Climbing on the roof of the barn
- Painting the barn
- The little sand box
- swinging from the clothesline poles
- massive domino trains
- watching The Simpsons in the basement
- Grandpa's old chess set
- the beer chair
- Aunt Linda's treats
- Uncle Reed's teasing
- passing around cookies
- not having to serve ice cream anymore
- Mormon bridge
- racing sticks down the gutter
- Dipping chocolates
- Grandpa saying, " My name is Quela...What's yours?" Ha Ha
- Fitting everyone in the bathroom
- Inviting Matt for the first time to face the wrath(I mean questioning) of Aunt Linda(I mean the fam)
- Thanksgiving dinner, the handprint table cloth, and the kids table.

So so many memories. Let me know what I forgot, or what your favorite memories were.

You heard it, Mom of the Year! Look what I left my child alone with. Every Mother's dream. And yes, that's permanent marker.

"Look what I did mom!"

Hill Air

No, not as in Hilarious, but as in the Aerospace Museum. On saturday, we went to Hill Aerospace Museum. We've lived 15 minutes away from it for 3 years and this was our first visit. It's actually pretty cool. I never realized how much cool history and massive planes and choppers they have there. And it's totally free to visit! I recommend it to anyone that has never gone, Especially if your kids, or you I guess, like planes. We had a great time.
